Dr. Veronica Paz

Accounting Professor

As an expert in the field of accounting, Dr.Veronica Paz is recognized for a myriad of scholarly accomplishments and a commitment to continually developing her teaching practice. With a passion for discovering new findings and sharing knowledge, Dr. Paz has made significant impacts within the accounting profession and higher education. Her 20 years of public accounting combined with her experiences of business at the executive level transition easily in to the classroom enhancing student learning and ambition.

Bio

Destined to be an educator, Dr. Paz is known for her natural ability to explain abstract concepts in engaging, interesting and thought-provoking ways. Dr. Paz brings enthusiasm and real world problem solving to all of her classes. Her love for accounting and education brings a compassionate approach which sparks curiosity and connects with learners at all skill levels.  Dr. Paz delivers courses in  multiple modalities to a high technology driven classroom. She holds four active professional certifications keeping her course work relevant.

Accounting Knowledge for Every Level

Principles of Accounting Courses

Dr. Paz has taught Principles of Financial and Managerial Accounting in multiple modalities, Face to Face (F2F), Blended or Hybrid, and completely online..

Upper-level Accounting Courses

Dr. Paz specializes in teaching upper level accounting. Dr. Paz has taught, Intermediate Accounting I and II, Individual and Corporate Tax, and Auditing.

Accounting Information Systems

Dr. Paz currently holds an active Certified in Information Technology designation. She teaching Accounting Information Systems including topics such as Systems Understanding Aid, Great Plains, Big Data, Data Analytics and Visualization.

Forensic Accounting

Dr. Paz has an active Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) designation.  She teaching Forensic Accounting, Cyber Forensic Accounting and Fraud and Forensic Examination.

Graduate Course

Dr. Paz teaches at the graduate level including Masters of Accounting and MBA courses.  Dr. Paz has taught such as Advanced Auditing, Advanced Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis and Valuation, andInternational Accounting

Workshop & Professional Courses

Dr. Paz teaches Continuing Professional Eduction courses, performs corporate consultations and serves as an expert witness.
